Selina brings more than 14 years’ experience advising senior executives on complex financial, operational and strategic decisions across the public sector. Selina is known for her ability to quickly diagnose issues, translate comprehensive analysis into actionable options, tactfully navigate political sensitivities, and support decision makers to secure funding and implement practical, defensible strategies.

She has frequently been recognized for clarity of presentation and for tailoring advice to diverse audiences, including executive leadership, central agencies, and governing bodies. Through an inclusive and collaborative approach, she has built trusted relationships across the public sector and with delivery partners.

As an inaugural Director supporting the establishment of a new Crown Agencies Secretariat for the Government of British Columbia, she designed and implemented unified financial processes and performance dashboards to support oversight, transparency, and consistency across agencies.

She has advised executives at the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) and within the provincial government and prepared business cases related to major financial model adjustments and customer rebates; incorporating fiscal, policy, and legislative considerations. These proposals were successfully passed through Treasury Board and Cabinet.

As A/Executive Director, Corporate Planning and Projects, Selina served as a trusted advisor to the Executive Financial Officer for the Ministry of Citizens’ Services and to senior leadership within the Real Property Division. She oversaw financial management and governance for the Province’s real estate portfolio, led the development of business cases and executive reporting, and strengthened alignment between financial planning, reporting, and government priorities. She also redesigned the financial team structure to improve capacity, role clarity, and service delivery.
